(2) The database of bird illustrations, photos and sounds is downloaded from our server so before installing iBird please make sure you are on a fast WIFI connection. A cellular connection will generally be too slow.

(4) SD Cards and iBird App Installation. iBird always attempts to store the database on the devices SD Card or in the device’s storage memory. However not all devices will allow this. As developers we do not have control over where the app ends up. You can tell if the app can be moved to the SD Card by going to Settings->Applications->Manage Applications and tapping on the iBird app in the list.

As a standalone iPhone app, iBird does not require an Internet connection for access to the rich media information in its database. This does mean that the application is large, so please be patient when downloading from the iTunes app store.
